The only thing I’ve heard or seen is spring 2010, but I’m trying to plan a vacation down there and I want to make sure it’s going to be open when I go. I was planning for mid June but you never know if things will be pushed back.
That’s the only thing that has been announced. Unfortunately, Universal does have a long history of pushing back their opening dates, so just keep checking! There’ s a lot of interest in excitement in this, and there will be a lot of seriously disappointed people if they miss their deadline – but that’s never stopped them before when they have opened things late! I would imagine that they are going to try their best to get it open for the summer crowds, so I would hope you will get to see it. But with Universal, you just never know until it happens.
If you are looking to do something different this year for your vacation then I would recommenced you should opt for horseback riding vacation at Sombrero ranches located at Rocky Mountains in Colorado. It will without a doubt be a vacation that you and your family will never forget.
I did some looking online and cant seem to find anything. I’m thinking about a wilderness trip 4-7 days. Pretty much anywhere is fine, Alaska, the tropics. Whatever.
You dont need to spend a bunch of money to do this. all you need is transportation to the wilderness.
Look at Gargantua provincial park in Ontario. Any of that giant chunk of land up on the Canadian shield should be remote enough for you. Transportation to your jump off point will be your only obstacle.
Its located along the eastern edge of Lake Superior. It’s almost indescribably beautiful.
I’m on vacation and I’m looking for a good action adventure/fantasy book suggestion for this winter break that I’m on. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The mortal instruments by Cassandra Clare– Fantasy trilogy about half-humans who hunt demons.
Abarat by Clive Barker– a girl discovers a world ridden with mythical beasts
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (my personal favorite)– carries some of the themes from the ancient crete minotaur story.
The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan — About a boy, Percy Jackson, and his friends who are demigods, and have some god-like powers.
Good Luck!
Well, Jonah’s Mom, it looks like you love animals based on your profile picture. I suggest going somewhere that is naturalistic and allows animals, like a cabin in the woods. You can take the dog for a nice long romantic walk in the woods and really get away from it all. Leave the cell phones behind and get back to nature. I bet you can do it less for $1,000 buckeroos, too.
i went on a vacation to egypt and it wouldn’t let me save so i quite without saving and now when i Chick on that family’s file it takes me back to egypt and none of my sims are their. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Go to your sims 3 save file which for windows users is in the documents file.
Delete the two folders (one will be a .bad file) then rename your .sims3.legacy file to .sims3 and you are good to go.
I had the same problem and doing this fixed it, it takes you back to the save before you got the glitch.
My husband and I are going on an 8 day trip at the end of April. Our hotel, transportation, excursions, and breakfasts are paid for. This will be an adventure-filled vacation without trips to any big cities, so our only chance for shopping or spending would be hotel/airport gift shops.
How much should we bring for lunch and dinner for both of us, and how much to spend on souvineirs. Also any useful general info is appreciated.
Thank you : )
Well, considering you are going to be in touristic places where the food is usually a bit more expensive than it normally is… Lets say you will be paying around $5-7 for breakfast each, a good lunch would be around $13-15 each and dinner probably around the same. So you would be spending around $600 in food between the two of you, you can add $50 or so extra if you plan on buying bottled water to carry around. And souvenirs, well here is depends on what you are planing on buying, there are many things from $1 to hundreds of dollars, what i would definitely advice you is to try and bargain a little because usually souvenirs are overpriced on purpose so people who bargain get discounts and people who dont end up spending more than they shouldve.
I would say $1000 would be a good amount to take with you, I don’t think you will spend that much but its better to be safe than sorry. Also carrying a debit/credit card is always a good idea in case something unexpected comes up. Most international credit cards will work anywhere here in Costa Rica.
Hope this helps! have a nice trip!
Really interested in an adventure style vacation and thinking of flying into Cancun since it is cheap. Is this a good starting and finishing point? What are the best attractions?
I’ve heard Tulum is great, the seaside setting, etc. but I haven’t experienced it.
You definitely have to go to Chichen Itza though. Remarkable architecture, we took a guided tour, got the history, etc. and it was very interesting. Lots of historical/cultural significance there, with the observatory, ball game court, and El Castillo which shows their knowledge of celestial bodies… very interesting.
See the review I wrote on Chichen Itza I wrote for The Canadian Traveler below.
i filled out an entry form a few weeks ago when i went to Six Flags Great Adventure and Sundance Vacations called me back and said i won 2 tickets to go on a cruise. i Asked over and over again if i had to buy anything in order to get these tickets, they told me NO!
Is there a catch? I heard i have to pay for the taxes but how bad could that be??? like 200-300 dollars?

For a few days only, but at some point during the first couple of weeks in August… I want to try to avoid any major events that would have huge, rowdy crowds like a spring break (which is spring, duh, but the impression) or "bike week" or anything that would crowd hotels, beaches, etc. with loud music and rowdiness… Just looking for a nice, quiet beach/relaxation adventure vacation here..
Any particular days of that month that we should avoid?
Well, we kicked this around for a little bit and you’re free and clear for a little vacation in August, to the best of our knowledge. Nothing crazy is planned, except for the usual little concerts in the park, but they’re always tame compared to Spring Break.
