How to plan an RV road trip (adventure)?

Posted by admin on May 14th, 2010 and filed under adventure trip | 1 Comment »

My parents have an RV and i was planning to buy a cheap truck so i can pull it accoss the states. But how do i plan an RV road trip. How much money is needed to for gas food etc? what are the 1st and last steps i should take. tell me all about planning an rv road trip!

Join AAA, trip routes, maps etc are invaluable.
Have a master plan about where you want to go or specific sites you want to see.
    Buy a cheap atlas.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO PULL THIS RV, so you’re safe!
Route your trip, go back to Yahoo answers and ask "I’ll be in such and such a location, where should I camp? What’s your best local inexpensive diner, restaurant etc?
Realize that this country has so much to offer, beautiful parks, great food, wonderful people and so much history! Take a camera, start a journal and make it the trip of a life time. Enjoy yourself my friend.

    Spring break road trip adventure/chaos/thrill/fun.?

Posted by admin on April 12th, 2010 and filed under adventure trip | 1 Comment »

So its my spring break and i live in Florida. I am 18 and my best friend and i are going down to Miami for the week. Its about a 6 hour drive and I’m the type of person who believes in "Carpe Diem". I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what type of trouble and fun things we can do on the way that we will be able to remember forever. I know these will probably naturally occur, but a few ideas never hurt!

i know you’ll remember it if the first thing that crosses your mind is "this is wrong, and i’ll always remember it!" But just ask yourself this security question before you indulge in carpe diem.

"is this something i’ll be proud i did when i’m a responsible adult, and will i have to keep it a secret because i’m ashamed of it later."

i.e. i won’t be able to tell my parents, children, future boyfriends, husband, the only person i can relate to is the girl i went with 30 years ago and has 5 children by possibly 6 men and works at waffle house.

How can I convince my mom to let me go on a plane for a summer trip?

Posted by admin on February 18th, 2010 and filed under adventure trip | 1 Comment »

I got an invite for a summer adventure trip and my mom doesn’t want me to go because she is scared about the terrorists trying to blow up planes and all. So, how can i convince her otherwise?

it is safer now than ever cuz they have added extra security since the bombing attempt.
if it a domestic flight it is even safer, terrorists usually go for intetnational flights. flying is safer than cars or boat or train. i fly between north america and south america every year, and i have never had a terrorist try to blow up the plane, my dad travels to europe frequently and has never had it either, my uncle travels almost every week within the u.s. for his job, and he has never experiened an attak, my other uncle travels regularly to africa, the middle east, asia and south america and he has never had a terorist either, so considering how often we all fly, and none of us have ever seen a terrorist, it does not make sence to worry about it, besides that is what they want you to do , if you worry you are letting them win.

    anyway, good luck convincing her.

Ideas for summer trip for high school senior?

Posted by admin on January 16th, 2010 and filed under adventure trip | 3 Comments »

I have a high school senior whose summer plans have fallen thru. He is very disappointed. Does anyone have any ideas for a replacement trip. He planned to camp/stay in hostels in Montana and the buddies now can’t make it. He’s probably on his own. I’m wondering if there are some summer adventure type trips he could sign up for. Serious answers only please.
I know traveling along is lonely so I’m really looking for ideas for group travel — like a tour aimed at older teens.

I took a two week bus tour through Scotland before going to college. I had family over there so it was nice to see where they live and where my family comes from. Its been a while for me, but I just remember wanting to just relax for the summer.
