Jeddah (also spelled Jiddah, Jidda, or Jedda) is a Saudi Arabian city located on the coast of the Red Sea and is the major urban center of western Saudi Arabia. It is the largest city in Makkah Province, and the second largest city in Saudi Arabia after the capital city, Riyadh. The population of the city currently stands at over 3.4 million. It is considered the commercial capital of Saudi Arabia.

Jeddah is the principal gateway to Mecca, Islam’s holiest city, which able-bodied Muslims are required to visit at least once in their lifetime.

Residents of Jeddah are called Jeddans. Jeddah has 24 sister cities, which are selected based on economic, cultural and political criteria.

    2. majxsama Says:

      You can just tell …
You can just tell them that Jeddah is the most moderate city in Saudi Arabia, if you went to Riyadh then believe you wont only hate… It’s like the Religous Police are prohibiting every single thing!!
Islam is a better religion, if you think about muslims that their all terrorists and that stuff then you’re 100% wrong..
      look deeper into islam :)

Oooookay, clearly these comments are just gona raise my blood pressure, and I can’t correct each one of them. So, I’ll go on record saying that I am a proud female citizen of Jeddah KSA <3 and women are neither opressed nor put down here, not by our culture and CERTAINLY not by our religion. Islam is a wonderful religion, wonderful is a huge understatement, there are no words to describe. It honours women and holds them high in society and household. I suggest looking into Islam and Saudi Arabia

    4. jazzylicious99 Says:

      Also, …
Also, Kurruptive1Logic , no where in the Quran or Prophets words does it say women are not allowed to drive, its simply a cultural thing

    5. jazzylicious99 Says:

      …sure if you have …
…sure if you have the western mentality then this makes no sense to you at all.
Again I was emphasising on his commentary.

    7. Kurruptive1Logic Says:

      White Muslima, …
White Muslima, we’re not talking about the poor, we’re n talking about Saudi women in general. Besides the fact that they choose to be driven around, sure there are women who want to drive themselves, but that is porhibited in Islam, but all good muslim women would choose to be driven around by a Mahram (blood relative, who they CANNOT marry) at the same time women voting is something that is permissable to do, but since when did women make the decision in a household.

    8. Kurruptive1Logic Says:

      People seem to be …
People seem to be misunderstanding here, there’s a difference between commentary and a difference between social integration.
His commentary has a bias prejudice tone, like as though he condemns it, who the is he to condemn it…

    9. alexjeddah Says:

    10. AverageWhiteMuslima Says:

Really? They choose not to vote or drive? Im sorry did I miss the nationwide referendum on this issue?Or isnt it the truth that the women of KSA have never officially been asked? BTW not all women can afford a driver so what about asking those women their opinion? Subhanallah….

      Islam is like a …
Islam is like a public toilet – you can in it, you can in it, you can wipe your in it, you can even masturbate in it – but eventually you have to leave because of the stomach wrenching stink of hole, and .

      Allah is the hole.
Mohammed is the coming out of the hole.
The koran is the toilet paper you use to wipe the hole.
And Mecca is the worlds largest public toilet.

So dont forget to keep your dirty muslim hole clean.
