Im going this week to Islands of adventure for a class field trip and i would like to know if its goin to be closed because of the opening of Harry Potter. I would also like to get your opinions on which one is scarier Dueling Dragons or the hulk and why? And also if going upside down on a roller coaster tht bad?
The main thing i wanna kno tho is if its goin to be closee, cause i rly wanna ride them.
It is not scheduled to be closed on their website. They have already closed it and reopened it once for Harry Potter, so it may not go down again.
I think Dragons is scarier simply because your feet dangle, so if you have never been on one of those, it’s a different experience! But neither one is "bad" or "scary," I don’t think. I think they are both a blast!

I’m not going to that park this week (or this year for that matter), but you could always ride both. I did. xD
I prefer riding the ice dragon, because before the ride, they blow a refreshing blast of cool air on you. With the fire dragon, it’s a blast of warmth. The blue dragon goes through more loops, and may not always win the race, but it’s very funny when the red coaster stops randomly in the beginning (not during the loops in midair, that would be too scary) and they let blue win. They program everything, i’m sure. xD No, you get used to the loops, just dont eat a big meal before if you’re queasy.
EDIT: I forgot to talk about the hulk coaster! It’s too short, honestly. It’s fun, but it takes longer than an hour, usually, to get through the line, and the ride seems to last shorter than a few seconds. Dueling Dragons usually has a shorter line.
A word of advice, if you every pass by the hulk with a short line and you think "Oh, i’ll just come back to ride it later because i’m hungry…", don’t listen to yourself. A short line for that ride is rare, and if you return, most likely, the line will be longer than 2 hours.
The Hulk is a famous roller coaster in USA and is on television more often than the Dueling Dragons, so, yeah, the lines are full of tourists and are very long.
Edit #2: Call up the park and ask.

I can honestly tell you that for a fact Dueling Dragons WILL be open this week. I called Universal Studios Orlando directly and a representative told me that everything will be open. Islands of Adventure is one of the greatest Amusement Parks in the nation, you will absolutely love it. Hulk is definitely scarier than Dueling Dragons. Going upside down on a roller coaster is really not that bad, I’m sure you will be fine. HAVE FUN!!
