I have a high school senior whose summer plans have fallen thru. He is very disappointed. Does anyone have any ideas for a replacement trip. He planned to camp/stay in hostels in Montana and the buddies now can’t make it. He’s probably on his own. I’m wondering if there are some summer adventure type trips he could sign up for. Serious answers only please.
I know traveling along is lonely so I’m really looking for ideas for group travel — like a tour aimed at older teens.
I took a two week bus tour through Scotland before going to college. I had family over there so it was nice to see where they live and where my family comes from. Its been a while for me, but I just remember wanting to just relax for the summer.

See about getting him a last-minute cruise (Expedia and Travelocity do this, I think). Since it’s last minute, it’s usually very cheap. They have themed cruises, or he could even go on a singles cruise if he doesn’t have a girlfriend. If he’d rather be outdoors and be active, maybe you could send him to Hawaii or California. They have a lot of natural, outdoors activities there that he could enjoy alone (or with other tourists, rather) during the daytime.

Well, no trip is going to be good if he has to go by himself. But if he has other friends, I’d say road trip. Doesn’t really matter where you go, cause if your with your friends thats really all that matters (although I’d reccomend the east coast as everything is very packed together so you can go to a lot of places fairly quickly).
