Comments on: what do you call a person who (likes to) travel/adventure alone?

adventurer, explorer, globe-trotter, traveler, venturer, voyager, wanderer, "waltzing Matilda", "walk-about", nomad, expeditionist, tourist…

if particularly poor or having no purpose – hobo, vagabond, vagrant, itinerant, drifter, bum, migrant, wayfarer

if on a particular mission – missionary. If a military sort of mission – mercenary.

If they’re travelling alone because they can’t find their way home – "lost".

I believe the term "lone wolf" or "wildcat" would be appropriate. That's what my friends and family refer to me as, anyway.
