I’m planing on going in october, is that a good time of the year? and where is the best place to stay romantic and activities like mountain biking, hot air ballon, biking ,etc.

Don’t know about hot air balloon, but in North Lake, theres lots to do, good nature, biking, you can raft down the truckee river, and reno is like a 30 min drive if you like to gamble.
