I’m planning on attending this thing called a line camp at baylor university. If you are also going or already went, which one did you choose or which one do you think is better and why. or what is your personal experience?
I’m not much of an outdoor person, so the on-campus one would be my route.
Outdoor looks like it’d be a lot of fun if that is your thing… whichever you choose there will be a good amount of incoming students with you and you will be able to make new friendships immediately either way. With the on-campus one you will have more people however, so if you don’t want to limit yourself then there’s that.
On-campus will also give you a better feel for the campus. Though I’ve never been on the outdoor one, it seems like the tradition of Baylor and what it is like to be a Bear would be lost there. On a positive for the outdoor one, the people in your group you will probably get real close with most of them given the nature of the trip.
I was wondering if there is any way to be able to hunt Bears and Turkeys….I’ve beaten the game but I can’t hunt those?
dunno.
good luck
I am holidaying in Greece and Turkey in September and want to take a group tour. I really like adventure tours (but nothing too physically demanding as I’ll be traveling with an elderly relative).
I have taken Intrepid tours before and have been very impressed, however they don’t have any available tours that suit our dates this time around.
Can anyone recommend any ethical tour companies? Preferably ones that use local guides where possible and local transport (don’t really like coach tours)?
Which country are you coming from? It depends on which country you re coming from to !!
your tour oparater cheapest and safest way to arange that to you!
There are two versions of the Complete Indiana Jones Collection DVD’s (the one’s before Crystal Skull). There is The Adventures of Indiana Jones and then there is Indiana Jones – The Adventure Collection which is released later. What is the difference?
The Complete Indiana Jones Collection has all four movie and a fourth disc of behind the scenes
The Adventures of Indiana Jones I believe only has the three movies
Indiana Jones the Adventure Collection is a Special Edition Collection. They might have spruced up the special effects like they did with Star Wars when they re-released those movies on DVD
Im going this week to Islands of adventure for a class field trip and i would like to know if its goin to be closed because of the opening of Harry Potter. I would also like to get your opinions on which one is scarier Dueling Dragons or the hulk and why? And also if going upside down on a roller coaster tht bad?
The main thing i wanna kno tho is if its goin to be closee, cause i rly wanna ride them.
It is not scheduled to be closed on their website. They have already closed it and reopened it once for Harry Potter, so it may not go down again.
I think Dragons is scarier simply because your feet dangle, so if you have never been on one of those, it’s a different experience! But neither one is "bad" or "scary," I don’t think. I think they are both a blast!
I travelled China on my own and wouldn’t recommend doing it that way. I’m a travel agent and have sold many GAP tours across China. The tours are very basic and aimed at backpackers but I have only had good reports back from my clients. Just dont expect 5 star treatment. If you are on a budget I would definately recommend them. If you prefer a higher standard I would recommend Wendy Wu Tours or Helen Wong Tours – both are excellent but more 5 star than backpacker.
How to find, plan, book and save a dime?
We like to do as much adventure, activities, sightseeing and dinning as one can anywhere in the NW, not just Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and Seattle. So tell us anything you can, as well as how to save a dime, when booking a group of 8 with 4 rooms? We are free nearly all of June except between June 10th to 20th. We are free for more than 4 or more days and nights, but less than 10. We’re also thinking of staying at the Marriott in Seattle, Victoria, Vancouver and Whistler each for more than one night. But if we do stay more nights, what SHOULD we do and where to eat? What are the 3 most adventurous and entertaining things to do and eat in each of those “AREA” that time of year? Plus how to save a dime when doing them and getting to them?
Our basic plan is to start in
Day 1
Transportation; Seaplane from Seattle to Victoria
Day 2
Adventure; Gardens, Zip line, Whale watching, Salmon BBQ
Day 3
Ferry to Vancouver
Adventure ???
Day 3
Train to Whistler
Day 4 adventure ??
Day 5
Train to Seattle
Day 6 Adventure??
Just look up special events to do in the area on popular travel sites.
My parents have an RV and i was planning to buy a cheap truck so i can pull it accoss the states. But how do i plan an RV road trip. How much money is needed to for gas food etc? what are the 1st and last steps i should take. tell me all about planning an rv road trip!
Join AAA, trip routes, maps etc are invaluable.
Have a master plan about where you want to go or specific sites you want to see.
Buy a cheap atlas.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO PULL THIS RV, so you’re safe!
Route your trip, go back to Yahoo answers and ask "I’ll be in such and such a location, where should I camp? What’s your best local inexpensive diner, restaurant etc?
Realize that this country has so much to offer, beautiful parks, great food, wonderful people and so much history! Take a camera, start a journal and make it the trip of a life time. Enjoy yourself my friend.
I am looking into opening an activity centre and just needing a little information??? Would be greatly appreciated if someone could tell me what licenses i need and insurance?? Thanks
In terms of insurance the only compulsory insurance would be employer’s liability cover. In practise it would be madness not to have public liability as well. I would also recommend liaising with the Health and Safety Executive as there is bound to be H & S issues. Depending on what activities are being carried out will depend on the premium. I insure a quad bike centre (up to 50cc machines) and the liability premium alone is £3,000,
